Близо половината страни от Европейския съюз, включително България, доставят оръжия на Египет, заяви в сряда „ Амнести интернешънъл “, цитирана от АФП и „Фокус“.
Международната правозащитна организация поиска от ЕС да наложи оръжейно ембарго за Кайро. Според нейното становище тези държави, които доставят на режима оръжия, стават съучастници в „извънсъдебните екзекуции“, „отвличанията“ и „мъченията“, които се извършват в Египет.
„12 държави от ЕС все още са сред основните доставчици на оръжия и оборудване, използвано за въдворяване на ред в Египет“, твърди организацията. Като оръжейни доставчици групата посочва Франция, Италия, Великобритания, Германия, България и Чехия.
“ Амнести “ твърди, че страните от ЕС доставят на Египет леко оръжие и боеприпаси. Според нея египетските власти използват внесените оръжия и оборудване при извършването на сериозни нарушения на човешките права.
