САЩ разположиха за първи път в Европа многоцелеви изтребители от пето поколение F-22 Raptor. Самолетите са пристигнали по инициативата за укрепване на сигурността на съюзниците от НАТО, обявена миналата година във връзка със ситуацията в Украйна, предаде ТАСС.
Четирите самолета са пристигнали в петък в авиобазата Шпангдалем в Германия, заедно със 60 американски авиатори, съобщи командващият военновъздушни сили на САЩ в Европа и Африка ген. Франк Горенк.
Raptor е смятан за най-модерния боен самолет в арсенала на американската бойна авиация, а според производителя – Lockheed Martin, цената му е 140 млн. долара.
