11-годишният Цветан Стоянов спечели златен медал в шампионата на Европейския съюз по шахмат за деца до 12 години, провел се в Мюрек, Австрия.
Стоянов е състезател на шахматен клуб „Бургас 64“. Цецко буквално унищожи конкурентите си, постигайки 9 поредни победи. Той има също световна титла и куп други отличия.
Кметът на Бургас Димитър Николов поздравява Цецко за постигнатия сериозен успех.
През април Цветан Стоянов спечели трите титли на страната ни по шахмат при момчетата до 12 години. Той зае първите места в класическия, ускорения и блиц шаха.
През 2013-а година, тогава 9-годишен, Цветан Стоянов стана световен шампион.
Момчето от Казанлък спечели златния медал на първенството в Порто Карас – Гърция като пребори конкуренцията на 80 свои връсници. Малкият шахматист подари световната купа си на своето училище – „Чудомир“ в Казанлък.
