В Русе, родният град на единствения българин с Нобелова награда за литература Елиас Канети, вече има негов паметник, съобщава БНТ. Монументалната пластика беше открита днес, когато се навършват 110 години от рождението на известния белетрист и драматург. Паметникът се намира в централната градска част на Русе и е дело на именития скулптор проф. Георги Чапкънов. Тежи 2 тона и половина. Писателят е облегнат върху книги, а в ухото му шепне сова.
Според основателя на Международното дружество “Елиас Канети” проф. Пенка Ангелова нобелистът задължително трябва да влезе в учебниците по литература.
